Donations Needed!

Operation Soldier Support- This is an ongoing support Care Package program. The Youth have 25 soldiers that they are sending supplies to on a regular basis. We need items donated such as: socks, powdered energy drinks, snacks, candy, magazines, phone cards, $$ for shipping.

Operation Christmas Child 2008- Once again this year, we will be participating in the Operation Christmas Child (Shoebox) program. We will be collecting items beginning Sunday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008. The items can be for boys and/or girls & please ensure they will fit in a shoebox.
Items to be collected include: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, writing pads, solar calculators, coloring books, small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, harmonicas, yo-yo’s, jump ropes, slinkies, toys that light up/make noise (include batteries), toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, hard candy, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries), shoeboxes, and personal notes (feel free to write brief notes to the children wishing them well). In addition to the items, we need money to help with shipping
(approx. $7.00 per box).

Food Pantry- Bring your donations of non-pershable food in on Sundays and each week it is delivered to North Valley Caring Services to be handing out at their food pantry. This is an ongoing need.

Snack Sacks- This is an ongoing project that the children help support. Sacks are put together to be handed out to the homeless who need a little help. Next time you go shopping add a couple of extra items to your list for the Snack Sacks:
- Bottled Water (12-16 oz size),
- Vienna sausages or canned tuna,
- applesauce or fruit cups,
- pudding cups,
- crackers with cheese or peanutbutter,
- granola bars/cookies,
- hard candies.
All items should be in individual servings.

Kids-2-Kids program - our Sunday School kids collect new or gently used books for North Valley Caring Center’s Preschool Program. The books are given out during the holiday season and at the preschool graduation, along with a new backpack and school supplies. Donations for this program are gratefully accepted.

Birthday In A Box mission - our Sunday School chidlren make up birthday boxes from donated cake mixes, canned frosting, leftover
or new party napkins, plates and tablecloths. These are given to children that are helped by the Kids-2-Kid program to give them supplies for a birthday celebration. Donations can be dropped off in office.
