NUMC Hikers

The NUMC Hikers meet monthly to explore the local trails and enjoy time together in the beautiful surrounding parklands. Hikes are scheduled the first Saturday of each month. Trails are selected with all ages and abilities in mind. Carpool meets in the church parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Bring water, a snack, and sunscreen.

Easy, shady canyon trail; dogs o.k. free parking.

Saturday, March 3, 2012:
Malibu Creek Rock Pool and Century Lake
Malibu Creek State Park
A local favorite to a year-round lake. No dogs.
3.5 mi., elev. gain 250 ft.

Vasquez Rocks Trail
Santa Clarita
Visit the site of many movie Westerns.
1.5 mi., elev. gain 100 ft.

Saturday, May 5:
Charmlee Nature Park Loop
Malibu
A carpet of wildflowers and ocean views in spring.
3.0 mi., elev. gain 500 ft.

Saturday, June 2:
Sage Ranch
Chatsworth
An easy trail with rock formations and Simi Valley views
2.5 mi., elev. gain 350 ft.

Saturday, July 7:
Eagle Point Loop Trail
Wildwood Park, Moorpark
A creek-side trail to the base of Paradise Falls. Dogs o.k.
3.0 mi., elev. gain 500 ft.

Saturday, August 4:
Beach Clean Up Day
