Education Internship:
Future Educators: Spend this summer gaining valuable practical experience working with elementary school children. The Northridge United Methodist Church Summer Camp is offering summer internships to Education students. Work with 15 to 20 children ages 6 to 11 under the direction of a credentialed teacher and BTSA support provider. Practice and apply classroom management techniques and instructional strategies in the fun, relaxed setting of our newly remodeled Youth Activity Center just walking distance from the CSUN campus. Assist the director in planning, preparing, and instructing daily lessons and activities that build on our multicultural "Imagination Vacation" theme and Christian Vacation Bible School curriculum. Work with children one-on-one and in small-group and whole-group settings in such areas as reading, storytelling, art, music, dance, drama, and outdoor play. NUMC's Imagination Vacation summer camp meets Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the month of July. Internships Available:
We have openings for 3 interns that would work with specific program areas in program development, promotion, and advertisement. These positions will be hands-on and will allow the candidate to gain experience in multiple areas.
