Confirmation 2011

Through the Confirmation classes and planned activities (retreat, overnighters, trips etc), you will continue to develop the roots of your faith, find a safe place to ask questions, and explore what it means to be Christian today.

What is Confirmation?
“Confirmation” means “with firmness”. It is an opportunity to grow firm roots of your faith. It is a time for you to explore the relationship between baptism and confirmation. It is a time to enjoy learning with your friends about your faith and your church. The promise of a lifelong journey with Jesus Christ.
We are offering the chance to talk with us and others about Confirmation. You are invited and strongly encouraged to attend:

• Your first Sunday Morning “Claim the Life” study time is on Sunday, September 20, 11 AM, in Room 3.
We are looking forward to exploring, learning and traveling with you on this fantastic journey! Please feel free to call Katherine, or talk with Pastor Stan, if you have any questions or concerns.

The confirmation class will be meeting regularly at 11 am on Sunday mornings!

Ash Wednesday Service 2/17 at 7 PM
Special Confirmation orientation at 6:30 pm in the office.

Parent Meeting 3/7 at 10 am in Room 5/6
Important opportunity for Parents to see where their child stands on their CPS. Also a chance to hear about upcoming activities and ask questions.
RSVP your attendance.

Confirmation Overnight 3/12-3/13 from 7 pm to 10 am
This event is MANDATORY for all Confirmands. We will be exploring the history of the church and going through the principles of our Faith.
There will be lots of fun activities and bonding time. Please RSVP.

Youth Sunday 3/14 at 9 am and 11 am services
Our Confirmation class will have an important role in this service.

Family Camp Activity May 14th- "Owl Island and the Body of Christ" Activity
A Special Confirmation time will be set aside at camp for an activity about everyone's "role" in the church and to plan Sunday morning worship.

Serve Communion in Church - June 5th at 9 am and 11 am services

Confirmation Dinner and Rehearsal - Saturday, June 11th, 5 pm-7:30 pm in YAC/Sanctuary

Confirmation June 12th- 9am & 11am Services (Reception from 10am-11am)
